πŸ‘©β€πŸ³ How to make Bacon Sticks Pastry with Black Sesame & Thyme

1. Prep the Pastry Base

  1. Heat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Place puff pastry on a lightly floured surface; roll into a 10x12-inch rectangle.
  3. Chill for 5 minutes if pastry becomes soft.

2. Add Bacon & Seasoning

  1. Lay bacon strips vertically across the pastry.
  2. Press lightly so they adhere.
  3. Brush bacon with egg wash.
  4. Sprinkle sesame seeds, thyme, salt, pepper, and (optional) Parmesan.

3. Slice into Strips

  1. Cut into Β½- to ΒΎ-inch wide strips so each piece has a bacon slice.
  2. If dough softens, chill again briefly.

4. Twist Into Sticks

  1. Lift each strip and twist both ends in opposite directions.
  2. Aim for 4–6 twists per strip.
  3. Place evenly on the baking sheet.

5. Brush & Season

  1. Brush exposed pastry with egg wash for shine.
  2. Add a small pinch of sesame on top.

6. Bake Until Crisp

  1. Bake 15–18 minutes, or until pastry is puffed and bacon is fully cooked.
  2. Cool on a wire rack for crispiest texture.

7. Optional Finish

  • Brush with a touch of warm honey or maple syrup for glossy, sweet-savory contrast.
  • Add fresh thyme before serving.
