Description

Homemade Potato Parmesan Balls are a delightful and easy-to-make appetizer that combines the comforting goodness of mashed potatoes with the rich flavor of Parmesan cheese. In this simple yet flavorful dish, boiled and mashed potatoes are mixed with grated Parmesan, creating a savory mixture that is then shaped into bite-sized balls.

Ingredients

- Potatoes (about 4 medium-sized), boiled and mashed

- Parmesan cheese, grated (about 1 cup)

- Bread crumbs (about 1/2 cup)

- Egg, beaten (1)

- Garlic powder (1 teaspoon)

- Onion powder (1 teaspoon)

- Salt and pepper to taste

- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

- Olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

- In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, grated Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, beaten egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

- Shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. You can adjust the size based on your preference.

- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat for frying.

- Carefully place the potato Parmesan balls into the hot oil, cooking them until they turn golden brown and crispy on the outside. Make sure to turn them to cook all sides evenly.

- Once cooked, remove the potato Parmesan balls from the oil and place them on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.

- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired.

- Serve the Potato Parmesan Balls warm as a delicious appetizer or snack.
