- 1-quart strawberries, hulled and chopped
- 1 cup blueberries, picked over
- ½ cup water
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 4 ½ tablespoon powdered fruit pectin
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, combine the berries, water, lemon juice, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
- Add the sugar and stir until it is dissolved.
- Continue boiling the mixture until it thickens and reaches a jam-like consistency, about 15 minutes.
- Remove the pan from the heat and let the jam cool slightly.
- Ladle the jam into sterilized jars and seal tightly.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
