Ingredients

Scale
  • 1-quart strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 1 cup blueberries, picked over
  • ½ cup water
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 4 ½ tablespoon powdered fruit pectin

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the berries, water, lemon juice, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the sugar and stir until it is dissolved.
  4. Continue boiling the mixture until it thickens and reaches a jam-like consistency, about 15 minutes.
  5. Remove the pan from the heat and let the jam cool slightly.
  6. Ladle the jam into sterilized jars and seal tightly.
  7. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
