  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

    • 8 slices of bread (white or brioche work best)

    • 1 cup chocolate hazelnut spread (or dark chocolate chips)

    • 2 large eggs

    • ½ cup milk

    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    • 2 tablespoons butter (for cooking)

    • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

    • Fresh berries (optional, for serving)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Rolls

    • Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin to make it easier to roll.

    • Spread a generous layer of chocolate hazelnut spread (or sprinkle chocolate chips) evenly over one side of each slice.

    • Roll the bread tightly, sealing the edges to keep the filling inside.

2. Make the Egg Mixture

    • In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth and well combined.

3. Cook the Rolls

    • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter.

    • Dip each roll into the egg mixture, coating it evenly on all sides.

    • Place the rolls seam-side down in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.

4. Serve and Garnish

    • Remove the rolls from the skillet and let them cool slightly.

    • Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with fresh berries on the side for a pop of color and freshness.
