Information about DOGs
The Holidays are near, and not exclusive to it is the act of gifting. One of the popular gifts has always been, the gifting of pets. And dogs lead ahead as the number one pet to get.
PETs and responsibilities of:
Owning a pet regardless of what it is has its own set of responsibilities.
It is up to you, to research, and look within yourself if you are up to taks on this. The same when gifting an animal to someone else. Where would the animal live, who will be the caretaker? Then there are the issues of monies needed to maintain it. Food, vaccines, licenses, grooming, etc.
Not to be discouraged.
If you still want to invest in a pet, be assured that you will be rewarded in ways unimaginable. Sometimes having a pet companion is better than a human companion. Treat them well and they will be loyal to you for life!
Getting to know Dogs.
Get to know your dog There are many dogs in the world.
There are different types of dogs that do different jobs. One type is a guide dog, which helps someone who can't see. Guide dogs lead their blind owner by putting their front paws on the person's leg, so they will know when to turn or stop. Another job dogs have is protection, such as police dogs. These special dogs search buildings for criminals and drugs and occasionally bite an intruder if they feel there is a threat to themselves or their owners. The third type of dog is a herding dog. Herding dogs help farmers take care of their animals and livestock by chasing away predators like coyotes or wolves that want to eat the sheep or cows. A very important type of dog is the one known as an Emotional Support Dog.
How to take care of your dog
Although dogs are capable of living on their own, they usually prefer the companionship of humans.
Dogs can be fed different foods depending on how old they are and what type of dog they are. For example, puppies need three meals a day, while senior dogs only need two. Also, herding dogs should eat more meat than dairy products because they were originally bred to protect livestock over long periods of time without giving them much food or water. Because many people think that all types of dogs can eat just about anything, this is not true. It would be better if you feed your dog healthy foods because then his body will develop into a strong healthy animal that will last for years to come!
