The first step is getting these 3 key ingredients: black beans, eggs, red or green salsa. Now that you have everything set up in front of you it's time for cooking! Anyone who knows anything about cooking will tell you that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and if you're looking to add some spice into your morning then breakfast bowls are just what you need.
Which breakfast bowl should I choose?
Red or green salsa? It's a tough choice, but it all depends on what you feel like. If red is more your thing, go for it! Or if green fits your mood today, you know what to do.
The next step in making breakfast bowls is cooking up some eggs. You can choose how many eggs to cook based on how hungry you are - 1 egg per person maybe? Crack one egg at a time into a non-stick pan over medium heat. Follow with either pepper or any other spices you might want to add.
Note: I ALWAYS choose Pasture Raised eggs.
Black Beans, the base.
While the eggs are cooking, get started on your breakfast bowls! First start with a base of black beans, which you can heat up in a saucepan over low heat. Next, it's time to build your breakfast bowl - add whatever ingredients you like! If raw veggies aren't really your thing then try microwaving some frozen veggies for 30 seconds or so.
Garnishes are totally key in breakfast bowls
Garnishes are totally key in breakfast bowls - think cilantro, avocado slices, cheese, hot sauce... you know what? You can just use everything and anything that sounds good! That's breakfast for ya.
