Substitutions
Easy, Cheesy Garlic Bread is one of my all-time favorite comfort foods. It's so simple to make, and it's always so delicious. The best part is that you can easily substitute any of the ingredients to suit your taste. For example, if you don't like garlic, you can leave it out or use less. If you want a more cheesy flavor, you can add more cheese. And if you want a spicier bread, you can add some red pepper flakes. So no matter what your taste preference is, Easy, Cheesy Garlic Bread is always a winner in my book!
Storage
Easy cheesy garlic bread can last up to four days in the fridge, although it's best eaten within two days. To extend its shelf life, wrap the bread in foil or plastic wrap. When storing, make sure the bread is cool and doesn't come into contact with other food, as this can cause it to spoil more quickly. If you notice any mold growing on the bread, it's best to throw it away.
Top tip
If you're looking for an easy and delicious way to make your bread extra special, try adding some garlic and cheese! Garlic bread is always a hit, and it's so simple to make. Here are our top five tips for making the best cheesy garlic bread:
- Start with a good quality bread. A nice, crusty loaf will hold up well to the garlic and cheese toppings and produce a delicious, crunchy result.
- Spread your butter or margarine evenly over the surface of the bread. This will help the garlic and cheese really stick to the bread and give you an even coverage.
- Use fresh garlic for the best flavor. If you don't have any fresh garlic on hand, you can use garlic powder or chopped garlic from a jar. Just be sure to use a light hand with the powder so that it doesn't overwhelm the other flavors in the dish.
- Add plenty of cheese! We like to use a mix of grated parmesan and Gruyere, but you can use any kind of cheese that you like. Just be sure to add enough so that every bite is nice and cheesy.
- Bake your bread until it's golden brown and bubbly. The cheese should be melted and bubbling, and the garlic should be nice and fragrant. Serve hot and enjoy!
