Egg rolls are usually made with a variety of fillings, including meats, vegetables, and cheeses. Egg roll bowls are a great way to enjoy all of the delicious flavors of an egg roll without all of the mess. Simply layer your favorite fillings in a bowl, top with a crispy egg roll wrapper, and enjoy! Egg roll bowls are perfect for parties, potlucks, or any other time you want to share a delicious meal with friends and family.
The goodness of Egg roll bowls
Egg roll bowls are all the rage these days and for good reason! They combine all the goodness of an egg roll into a healthy, one-bowl meal. Egg rolls are traditionally made with a wheat flour wrapper, stuffed with a mixture of cabbage, pork, and other veggies, and fried until crispy. While delicious, this isn't the healthiest option. Egg roll bowls take all the best parts of an egg roll and ditch the wrapper (and the frying). The result is a flavorful, veggie-packed bowl that's perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. Plus, they're super easy to make at home. So what are you waiting for? Give egg roll bowls a try!
This was inspired by my other recipe on this site, and pairs well with this amazing sidedish recipe.

Coconut aminos
Coconut aminos is a sauce made from coconut sap and salt. It is used as a seasoning or condiment, and has a similar flavor to soy sauce. Coconut aminos is gluten-free, soy-free, and sugar-free, making it a popular choice for people with dietary restrictions. It is also rich in amino acids, which are necessary for the body to build proteins. Coconut aminos can be used in place of soy sauce in any recipe, and can be added to stir-fries, marinades, or used as a dipping sauce. Whether you are looking for a healthful alternative to soy sauce or simply want to add a new flavor to your dish, coconut aminos is worth trying.
Instructions
Directions:
- Heat a large high-sided skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage and cook, breaking the meat into small pieces as it cooks, for approximately 5-6 minutes. Once sausage is no longer pink, remove from heat and carefully drain excess grease from pan.
Safety Tip: Wipe off any excess fat that drips down the side of the pan before returning to the burner. - Return the skillet to heat. Add water and scrape up brown bits from the bottom of the pan with a spatula. Reduce heat to medium and add shredded cabbage, carrots, garlic powder, sesame oil, ginger, and green onions. Season with salt and black pepper, to taste, and cook, stirring frequently, until the cabbage wilts and the carrot softens approximately 4-5 minutes.
- Add rice vinegar and coconut aminos and stir to combine. Cook another 1-2 minutes or until heated through. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving platter or bowl. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds, if using, and serve immediately. Enjoy!
